2008 - George Strait won Album of the Year for Troubadour and Single of the Year for "I Saw God Today" at the CMA Awards in Nashville. Kenny Chesney was named Entertainer of the Year.

2006 - Josh Turner sang the national anthem as the Tennessee Titans hosted the Baltimore Ravens in Nashville.

2004 - Tim McGraw and Faith Hill recorded "Like We Never Loved at All" in Nashville.

2004 - Sugarland debuted on the Grand Ole Opry, singing "Baby Girl."

2003 - Travis Tritt had surgery for a torn rotator cuff.

2003 - George Strait received the National Medal of Arts from President George W. Bush at the White House.
